Apimaye 10 Frame Dual Feeder

  • New one piece feeder design for 10 frame hives
  • Can feed fondant and up to 4 liters (~1.06 Gallons) of syrup at the same time
  • Transparent top reservoir cover to see the liquid levels
  • Easier access to fondant or pollen patties for the bees and beekeepers!

Product Notes

  • Feed selector caps are now permanently attached.

  • Additional center covers available for sale for hot swapping homemade dry feed.

  • The dual feeder is designed to fit under the regular telescopic top cover and we have tested it with a few telescopic covers from different vendors we've seen in conventions. However it should be noted that different manufacturers may have different tolerances which may result in tight fit or some shaving of the top covers from inside. It should also be noted that this top feeder sits on top of the hive body, and the top cover will only be covering the feeder. Used top covers, especially if they are warped may have issues properly fitting.

This is my replacement for the one I have before and I do like them. The only thing I would like to change the little ridges on the in side for the bees should be little rough not Slippery.

Love this thing

I had some board-man feeders that led to hornets attacking my bees. Bought this to safely give my bees sugar and patties, and it’s SO well designed. No drowning, no robbing, just happy bees.🐝

Dual feed top feeder works

I’m a second year bee keeper. I started feeding my bees with front feeders because it came with the hive kit. Occasionally something would happen with the bottles or the bees getting crazy fighting each other before I knew it I had a bunch of dead bees. So I switched to a top feeder using an empty hive box as a chamber for the mason jar. Soon I realized one bottle wasn’t enough many times I had to fill the bottle more than once a day. I then went to a four bottle holder top feeder. When the bees were drawing off the syrup hard it worked great and I could get two days on refills. Occasionally I found a dead bees because the bees stopped drawing off of them and they always ripple a little. The other issue was, replacing bottles exposed me to the bees when I lifted the bottles out. This Apimaye dual feeder allows you to add liquid feed without exposer to the bees. I still find some dead bees occasionally when the bees push each other into the reservoir trying to get to the syrup. I made a floating platform from popcycles sticks to try an assist the bees from getting pushed into the syrup when their sisters are crowding them into those chambers.

Using with a Flow Hive

Started beekeeping in my backyard with a FlowHive for simplicity. Moving out of the backyard and into a bigger space, I'm expanding with Apimaye for future hives. This feeder is excellent, though modifying was needed to fit with the oddly sized FlowHive which is slightly smaller than standard equipment. Once I was able to make things fit, it worked great. Some dead bees but not too many and very easy to use and feed with minimal disturbance! I love the built in venting!
