Bottom Board for Wooden Hives

G type bottom board is designed specifically for the US market to be compatible with the existing wooden hives of the beekeepers. Just like B type bottom boards for our Ergo Series Insulated Bee Hives, these bottom boards are equipped with pollen trap (for collecting pollen) and screen.

All our bottom boards can be used safely in all climate conditions. The unique grill design enables ventilation in extremely hot weather, while helping remove moisture from the bee hive at the very cold temperatures. Balancing the moisture inside the hive results in maturing the honey sooner, thus increasing the hive productivity.

The bottom boards are equipped with a bottom a drawer. You can have a better understanding of your hive through checking the drawer.

The pollen traps on the bottom boards are specially designed to prevent bee injuries while collecting the pollen. A built in pollen tray enables collecting the pollen hygienically.

The bee hive entrance holes can be opened or closed very easily. The entrance can also be width-adjusted based on the climate.

The air channels built into the board prevents bee losses during transportation.

The boards are built tough against impacts and are durable.

They are easy to clean,

Excellent bottom board

I have 4 of these bottom boards so far. They are easy to install on the wood hives. It has everything you need in a screen bottom board. Entrance reducer, pull out tray, pollen trap and landing board. I will definitely be buying more.

Bottom Boards for Woode Hives

I bought 3 of these in 2024, I have waited until now to write a review in order to allow enough time to pass for a proper accessment.
One year later i have found NOTHING wrong with these bottom boards.
The integrated pollen trap works very well which was my primary reason for the purchase. Add to that the entrance reducer/mouse guard, ventilated bottom board with slide out tray/beetle trap, fold out landing board that can be used to close entrance.
They were very easy to install, you will need a longer than usual **** tip for installation. I had a 4" that worked well.
The pilot holes for the screws are offset so that you can get your screws centered in the brood box walls to account for any dissimilar size boxes. A lot of R&D has gone into these.
I almost forgot to mention my bees overwintered as well or better than the ones on conventional bottom boards.
I will be replacing all of my bottom boards with Apimaye as they age out.

I like the way this allows air into the hive. We lost a hive last year and believe this board would have been helpful

Totally satisfied with the quality and craftsmanship of this product, fits like a glove.

Great design I currently have 6 of these bottom boards I use slatted racks in my hives so these bottom boards are attached to the slatted racks which works out nice because i can still remove the brood box without removing the bottom board or slatted rack. I plan on replacing all of my bottom boards with the Apimaye bottom boards.
