Warranty, Returns & Refunds
All Apimaye products have 1 year limited manufacturer’s warranty against any defects. If there is anything not right, we’ll make it right.
Upon arrival of the product, please inspect the box for any abnormalities. On average, our hives go through 6 different shipping hubs to reach from our warehouse in Mesa, Arizona to east coast. This number can double if purchased from Amazon. Each hub means the box gets handled one more time. If there are any dents on the package, please take a picture, and show it to your carrier as well. All our packages are insured through the carrier. If the items have arrived damaged, please take a picture of it and email it to us. We can send a replacement part right away.
If any part is damaged during or after the warranty period due to user error, we have parts available at reasonable prices to make sure your hive is back in perfect shape as soon as possible. Reach us with pictures of the parts that need to be replaced, and we’ll work on them together.
Returns & Refunds
Due to the nature of our products, we can not accept returns of products if they are introduced to bees! This is to avoid possible contamination of the hives.
Before your items are shipped
We ship daily. Should you decide to cancel your order before it gets shipped, just cancel your order on our site, or call us and we’ll cancel your order and your money will be fully refunded.
Our boxes are large! In fact UPS & FedEx treat them as if they were 97 pounds because of the dimensional weight. If you decide to return your unopened items, we offer a unique approach to returns.
Please send an email to email@example.com with your order number, and the items you'd like to return. We'll send you a return shipping label. Once we receive and inspect the products, you'll be given a refund minus the cost of shipping both ways.
Please note that due to the size of our products the one way shipping costs are calculated at:
Two story hives: $50
One story hives & NUCs: $40
Bottom Boards, Top Covers & Feeders: $20
The total amount deducted can be up to twice as much as the amounts above
Ship It Forward
To reduce our carbon footprint, and cost of returns, we came up with a "Ship It Forward" program. We will advertise the product you want to return on our Facebook page, and if we have a customer in the nearby states that would like to buy the items, we'll send a shipping label to you so you can send your product directly to its new home. Since the item will be shipped to a new customer, and not to us, you won't have to pay for the return shipping.
Please note that this requires both your and the recipient's contact information to be on the shipping label. Therefore both you and the recipient would be consenting having this information to be seen by the other party. Once the receiver confirms the products have arrived in good shape, we will refund you the amount minus the shipping cost to your address.
