Warranty

All Apimaye products have a lifetime limited manufacturer’s warranty against any manufacturer defects. If there is anything not right, we’ll make it right.

Limited Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty

Kaftan LLC d.b.a Apimaye USA (“Manufacturer”) warrants to the original purchaser (“Customer”) that its insulated beehive products (“Products”) shall be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the lifetime of the product, subject to the terms, limitations, and conditions set forth below.

Coverage

This warranty applies only to Products manufactured by Apimaye USA and purchased directly from Apimaye USA or an authorized distributor listed on the website. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship that result in structural failure or render the Product unfit for its intended use.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, fading, or discoloration.
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, abuse, accident, alteration, modification, or improper assembly.
  • Damage resulting from failure to follow product instructions, exposure to chemicals or extreme environmental conditions, or use of unauthorized parts or accessories.
  • Damage caused by animals (including but not limited to bears, rodents, and insects), natural disasters, fire, or acts of God.

Limitations

This limited lifetime warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. The Manufacturer’s liability is limited to, at its sole discretion, repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price of the defective Product. Replacement parts or Products may be new or refurbished and are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.

No other warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are made. In no event shall the Manufacturer be liable for any incidental, consequential, or special damages.

Claim Procedure

To initiate a warranty claim, the Customer must:

  1. Contact Apimaye USA at support@apimaye-usa.com with a description of the issue and proof of purchase or contact an authorized distributor. 
  2. Provide photographs of the defective Product and, if requested, return the Product or defective component.

All warranty claims are subject to verification by Apimaye USA.

Modifications

Apimaye USA reserves the right to modify this warranty at any time, provided such changes do not retroactively affect prior purchases.

RECEIVING OF THE PRODUCT

Upon arrival of the product, please inspect the box for any abnormalities. On average, our hives go through 6 different shipping hubs to reach from our warehouse in Phoenix, Arizona to east coast. This number can double if purchased from Amazon. Each hub means the box gets handled one more time. If there are any dents on the package, please take a picture, and show it to your carrier as well. All our packages are insured through the carrier. If the items have arrived damaged, please take a picture of it and email it to us. We can send a replacement part right away. 

If any part is damaged during or after the warranty period due to user error, we have parts available at reasonable prices to make sure your hive is back in perfect shape as soon as possible. Reach us with pictures of the parts that need to be replaced, and we’ll work on them together.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the nature of our products, we can not accept returns of products if they are introduced to bees! This is to avoid possible contamination of the hives. 

Before your items are shipped

We ship daily. Should you decide to cancel your order before it gets shipped, just cancel your order on our site, or call us and we’ll cancel your order and your money will be fully refunded. 

Unused Items

Our boxes are large! In fact UPS & FedEx treat them as if they were 97 pounds because of the dimensional weight. If you decide to return your unopened items, we offer a unique approach to returns.

Regular Returns

Please send an email to support@apimaye-usa.com with your order number, and the items you'd like to return. We'll send you a return shipping label. Once we receive and inspect the products, you'll be given a refund minus the cost of shipping both ways. 

Please note that due to the size of our products the one way shipping costs are calculated at:

Two story hives: $50

One story hives & NUCs: $40

Supers: $25

Bottom Boards, Top Covers & Feeders: $20

The total amount deducted can be up to twice as much as the amounts above

Ship It Forward

To reduce our carbon footprint, and cost of returns, we came up with a "Ship It Forward" program. We will advertise the product you want to return on our Facebook page, and if we have a customer in the nearby states that would like to buy the items, we'll send a shipping label to you so you can send your product directly to its new home. Since the item will be shipped to a new customer, and not to us, you won't have to pay for the return shipping.

Please note that this requires both your and the recipient's contact information to be on the shipping label. Therefore both you and the recipient would be consenting having this information to be seen by the other party. Once the receiver confirms the products have arrived in good shape, we will refund you the amount minus the shipping cost to your address.
