Comb Honey Jar Adapter for 10 Frame Hives

Easy Honey Harvesting with Mason Jars

Make honey harvesting simpler with the Apimaye Jar Honey Adapter, designed for hassle-free use with 10 frame hives. This adapter securely holds 12 mason jars (fits both regular and wide mouth jars, not included) and is compatible with both Apimaye insulated hives and wooden Langstroth hives.

Each jar opening includes a built-in queen excluder, so your queen stays safely in the brood area while worker bees fill the jars with honey. No extra tools or feeders needed—just place the adapter with jars on top of your super and stack an empty super above it to cover the jars. No need to install the Apimaye top feeder for this setup.

Features That Beekeepers Love:

  • Easy to Use – Just add your mason jars, set it on your hive, and let the bees do the work

  • Holds 12 Mason Jars – Compatible with both regular and wide mouth jars

  • Queen Excluders Built In – Keeps your queen where she belongs

  • Works with Apimaye & Wooden Hives – Flexible design for all setups

Whether you are gifting your comb honey to friends or family, or selling it at farmer's market, the Apimaye Jar Adapter makes comb honey harvesting cleaner, easier, and more enjoyable.

Order now and make your next honey flow a breeze.

Please note that mason jars are not included.

Instructions:

  • Put the jar adapter on top of the brood or super boxes.
  • Remove the lids of mason jars and put them upside down on the 12 slots we have for the jars
    • RECOMMENDED: You can pour some wax to the bottom of the jar, and/or cut and put a starter strip inside the jar to get the bees going faster
    • RECOMMENDED: Make sure all the combs are fully drawn in the boxes. The bees would prefer to build them on the existing frames and foundations. However if the frames are full, they'll go in the jars and start building there.
  • Put a deep or medium super on top of the jar adapter based on the size of the jars you are using.
  • Place the lid on top of the super box.
    • The bees will start drawing comb in the jars just like they would build burr comb, or draw out of the starter strip
  • Once the combs are drawn, remove the jars and replace them with the new jars.
    • OPTIONAL: You can fill the remainder of the jar with liquid honey

Nice! Cannot wait until the jars are ready to remove. Will fill space between the comb the bees build, fill and cap. Will make great gifts.

Jar Adapter

Received this item too late in the season at my location to try it out. However, like all of the Apimaye equipment I have, it is sturdy and well thought out. Bonus that it fits different size jars. I have not lost a hive over the winter since switching from wooden hives to Apimaye hives when they first came out years ago. Ask me about the jar adapter next June (2026).

Cool idea!

I just started using these so I haven’t gotten any results yet but I love the idea and I’m excited to see how they turn out!

Apimaye did it again!

I just made a wooden Honey Jar inner board a week before finding this new cool jar board. I spent more on my mason jar drill bit than the price of one of these boards. Love it! Hope the Bees get busy so I can have some holiday gifts for the family ;-) I purchased 2 Jar Boards, I think they will sell out fast.
