Hard to tell how everything is working so soon. Trying to leave them alone to get adjusted to home. Was very impressed with quality and durability of the hive. Very heavy and solid with many nice features.
The reason I wish I had not bought this is because I now realize that I am doomed to replace all of my hives with Apimaye. Insulation, ventilation, pollen collection, screened or solid bottom boards, queen excluder, feeders, entrance reducers, drift reduction with color identification (yes you can get lots more colors) - all built into the plan. Even the inspections are better because the boxes are not stuck together as much as the woodenware. I should’ve started with this. Like most beekeepers I had to go through the build it all yourself stage. I’m past that. Take my money.
I can’t say enough about this hive, I'm only limited by my imagination!
Newer to bee keeping (4th year trying to figure it out), but love these hives. So much easier for me to inspect by myself. Can't wait to see how they do through a Michigan winter
