  • The dual feeder is designed to fit under the regular telescopic top cover and we have tested it with a few telescopic covers from different vendors we've seen in conventions. However it should be noted that different manufacturers may have different tolerances which may result in tight fit or some shaving of the top covers from inside. It should also be noted that this top feeder sits on top of the hive body, and the top cover will only be covering the feeder. Used top covers, especially if they are warped may have issues properly fitting.

Large feeder

Easier to use then smaller split but doesn't have a syrup cap refersal for winter sugar. Would like syrup cap to be changeable to open so bees can get to sugar in winter. I just made them really lose.

Totally functional.

What I like.
One piece. Easier to remove to access top of super.
Ability to see the bees through the clear plastic.
Feeding areas for bees is larger.
Fewer pieces to keep track of while working the hive.

I don't think a single bee has drowned in this thing yet, after multiple feedings. It's quite amazing.

The only feeder you will ever buy

We now have 6 feeders. We lose zero bees in these feeders. They are designed perfect to alow the bees to safely feed. Holds a ton of food so they also need checked way less often.

The BEST inner cover / feeder out there!

You can't beat this inner cover / feeder! It's the best of both worlds and something I run year round, even on 10 frame wooden boxes (and yes they fit!). I love the layout for the feed access being on the ends so all of the syrup get's consumed and having the built in feeder for solid feed is GREAT! I don't need to add a different cover for winter and I can quickly pop a lid and check how much they have eaten without disturbing the colony.
