  • The dual feeder is designed to fit under the regular telescopic top cover and we have tested it with a few telescopic covers from different vendors we've seen in conventions. However it should be noted that different manufacturers may have different tolerances which may result in tight fit or some shaving of the top covers from inside. It should also be noted that this top feeder sits on top of the hive body, and the top cover will only be covering the feeder. Used top covers, especially if they are warped may have issues properly fitting.

The single most functional and versatile feeder in beekeeping today.

The new 10-Frame or 8-Frame hive top feeders have vastly improved my ability to boost or SAVE a colony in a pinch. The feeder sits well on the wooden hives, and permits checking on resources or adding fresh feed without disturbing the bees in any weather. The center opening is ideal for fondant (winter feed) or pollen patties (brood boosting). My only marginal frustration is with the cover for the center feeder; the old/original version was perfect, now there are finger indents that reduce my ability to put in two full pollen patties at once. I am very VERY pleased with the design, and ease of use. Five Stars all the way.

Outstanding

What a well thought out design. Install is SIMPLE, refilling feeder is equally simple. Now, feeding the bees does not disturb them at all. Nice job Apimaye!

No More Stings during just feeding

I love these my bee stings during just feeding has reduced to almost zero. Now my kids can watch the bees behind the plastic cover

Working Great

So I did not like the "split" feeding system although I understood it was to facilitate splitting the hive as a NUC. I replaced though with these feeders. What I am finding is that I have far fewer bees drowning and the feeder in the center is working great. I put a hive alive pollen trivet in the feeder and the bees are all over it. I'm using these in both my ApiMaye and wood boxes.

Nice

Have regular wood hives and they fit perfectly. Like the idea i can use to feed fondit in the winter.
