Over the last couple of years I have seen similar products like this: tray that holds mason jars to be used as supers and included queen excluders to prevent the queen from laying eggs in the jars. Those products were sold around Europe and I really wanted to use with my Apimaye hives. Now they offer one. I love it. The board fits great, fits both regular and wide mouthed Mason jars and it is so cool to simply remove the medium super body off and see the progress of the bees working the jars!
In order to get the bees to start in the jars, I purchased a wax mold for Madi g wax foundation, formed one beeswax foundation and cut it in small pieces. Using a heat gun, I warmed up each piece, affixed it in the bottom of each jar and it’s all ready. The video I showed has been used around 6 weeks. Thank you Apimaye. Love this product!
