The Apimaye Hive Upgrade kit is designed to turn any 10 frame wooden box into an upgraded hive with some of Apimaye's most praised features like the bottom board with pollen trap, and the dual feeder. Our insulated top cover, feeders, and bottom boards do not warp and rot like traditional woodenware.

Product is better than advertised and easy to install. The feeding tray is fantastic.
I converted one hive and before I could move my own bees into it, a swarm decided to move in. Ii guess you can say it is Bee Approved. Worth the investment.
I love these Wood conversion kits, Hot Rod my old wood hives. Most imported thing for this back yard hobbyist is being able to "Read the Tea Leaves" in the removable bottom Trays. I check the bottom trays every time I'm in my yard. In the last Month found: Varroa Mites, Small Hive Beetle, and Wax Moth Larva squirming around in the DE on the tray counting boards. Cleaned them out 6 days in a row, treated and curtailed multiple infestations “Nipped them in the bud”. "The Bottom Tray is the Canary in the Coal Mine" indicating all activity good or bad going on, before it goes bad.
I love just about everything about these hives. The insulated Top Cover helps make it easy for the Bees to set the Temperature and Humidity. I noticed the Bees in Apimaye hives don't have to cluster as tight burning them self's out heating the cluster. On cool morning they are the 1st Bees out flying. Both style top feeders have different cool features. No dripping upside down syrup jars on brood frames anymore.
I've been putting the latch Kits on my Wood Conversions, Prepping to Rivet the latches on the bottom board. It's a good feeling snapping the latches down snug on all the boxes and having a quick release bottom board.
I love the pollen trap. It’s extremely effective. Also, like the feeder and lid. It gives me excellent insulation and ventilation while allowing me to feed as necessary without to much disruption to the bees.
Absolutely game changing when converting a fully traditional wooden hive to an Apimaye upgrade. The quality of life improvements from top to bottom are well worth the investment!
