Turn your Apimaye supers into an Apimaye hive! Perfect for when you need to make an emergency split, or catch a swarm, or have too many supers laying around :)

Just put your DEEP or MEDIUM super on top of the bottom board, and latch it to the bottom board like you'd do with any super!

Product Notes:

Due to the height of the super and the bottom board, you CAN NOT use a division board with this product.
It is only for single colony operation.
The default setting is for medium super.
You need to remove the shim adapter to put a deep super on top.

Not just for supers!

We use the Hive kit for Supers on most of our hives with deep brood boxes. We like having the bottom brood box latched on rather than screwed on to the Apimaye bottom board. We got a spare so that we can swap in a clean bottom (lift, unlatch, exchange, latch) and then scrape and pressure wash the one that was in use. Lots of propolis in the slots.

Love it

I could not be happier with this product. I was pleasantly surprised with the larger new style feeder that came with it.
I did not expect this feeder. The shim was easily removable for my purposes to put a deep on. I do like the option of the shim. I also like the fact that it has the new style entrance on it. This allows me on it. I have replaced my entrance's on all my other Apimayes with this new style entrance. Because this allows me to leave my pollen catchers in full time by just changing the entrance opening. One way forces the bees to use the pollen feeder the other allows them to avoid it and I never have to take it out.
I will be buying these going forward.

Great for splits

I really like these kits so turn supers into full apimaye hives. It allows me to make more traditional splits with two deeps.

Easy to set up

So far, so good. Easy set up. Just getting a small group going, but it is working!

Perfect for Demaree split

looks like this setup will make a Demaree split a piece of cake. Now I have much more flexibility in my hive configurations 😎
